Proper finished in short order as a junior puppy at the Evelyn Kenny Kennel & Obedience Club going Winners Dog under judge Ramon Podesta handled by Trina Neil! He earned an Award of Merit as a puppy at the Alberta Shetland Sheepdog & Collie Association specialty show under judge Jerry Parisek of TwoJ’s Shelties handled by Laurie Pekar! Proper garnered many group placements and BPIG’s through his puppy career also going Best Puppy in Show under judge Dann Wilson at the Crocus shows.

After a wardrobe change, we sent him down to the states to attend the ASSA National with Kim Wendling where he not only won his class but was in the final 4 for winners’ dog! We decided he could stay out East and work on both his American championship and his Canadian grand championship, boy are we glad we did! Proper is now an American CHAMPION and has garner back-to-back RESERVE BEST IN SHOWs in Canada under judges Barbara Heal and sheltie breeder judge Irene Latchford at the Thunder Bay Kennel & Training Club.
